It has been six years since Amy Winehouse tragically passed away. The death of the singer, who famously battled alcohol and drug addictions, shocked the world, and she has been hailed as one of the greatest artists of our generation.
But her father, Mitch Winehouse, has now come forward to reveal that the late singer's ghost often visits him.
Talking to The Sun, Amy's father said that he often sees his daughter sat on his bed at his Kent home.
He told the publication: "She does come back - not physically, but spiritually - all the time. I could not begin to tell you how much she is around, there are lots of strange happenings.
"Her spirit comes and sits on the end of my bed. She just sits there and it looks just like her with her beautiful face and she looks at me."
Mitch also claims that her presence makes him 'nervous' and that he believes she sometimes visits him as a blackbird - much like the one she famously had tattooed on her arm - as a week after her death, one flew into his sister's glass window.
He added: "It came and sat in the middle of us and sang... there are so many things that happen to me that I cannot explain."
Amy died from alcohol poisoning in 2011 after a tumultuous few years in the spotlight, but her story is set to live on in the form of a West End musical.
The singer's life will be documented in a stage show that will reportedly include her most famous hits.
Mitch told The Sun: "A musical celebrating her life and music is being talked about for the near future," he previously told The Sun.
“It would be for the West End. We want to do something that remembers Amy for what she was, there’s so much more to her than just the drugs and the alcohol.
“We want to do something positive about how she developed her music. What we don’t hear is that she was clean of drugs for three years when she died.
“It is something I’d really like to happen and I’ve said I’m happy for it to go ahead."
