The 24-year-old flipped the car as she was travelling near South Woodford in North East London around 10PM.

Luckily, the salon owner managed to scramble free from the car, with the help of an unidentified witness, and was soon joined by paramedics.

According to those in the scene, Amy was uninjured but looked 'shaken,' following the crash outside The Napier Arms pub, while the roof of the car was left completely smashed in.

Taking to her twitter page after the incident, Amy said she was 'lucky to be alive' and thanked her followers for their well wishes.

'God was definitely looking down on me,' the star added.

Amy, who bought the Range Rover in 2012 for £60,000, also had a custom number plate made with the words 'well jel' - for the bargain cost of £80,000.

Childs left TOWIE in 2011 to pursue other business ventures, and has since become one of the more successful reality stars - starting a range of products, owning a salon and frequently appearing on TV panel shows.

We wish Amy a speedy recovery.
