American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave dominate as full list of Oscar 2014 nominations are announced

The American Academy of Motion Pictures has released the nominations for the 2014 Oscars.

Chris Hemsworth and actress Cheryl Bone Isaacs read out the much anticipated nominees in a press conference on Thursday afternoon.

American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave are the front-runners of this years Oscars race with Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest offering The Wolf of Wall Street also receiving nominations.

Jennifer Lawrence is set to return to the Oscars both as a nominee and a presenter after winning the 2013 Oscar for Best Actress.

Meryl Streep, an Academy Award veteran, also made the nominations list for Best Actress.
