Asked what advice she'd give to the new guys and gals, she told BBC Radio 5 Live: "When you first get in there, you have no loyalties to anyone, so absolutely go and get whoever you want and whoever you fancy, because your experience could be over in the blink of an eye".
The new series starts TONIGHT (eeep) on ITV2, with this year's lineup including 40 year old Danny Dyer's actress and barmaid daughter, Dani Dyer, 21.
Speaking about the potential guest appearance from Danny Dyer later on in the series, Amber said: "We've got Dani Dyer and that's going to be exciting - especially if her parents come in if she makes it all the way. We'll have the Danny Dyer on Love Island, that would be absolutely brilliant."
Amber won the show in 2017 with Kem Cetinay, 22, but their relationship only lasted a few weeks after splitting the £50,000 prize money.
Speaking on Lorraine this morning about the relationship, she shared: "Kem and I were in two different stages in our lives; he still lived with his parents, I was his first girlfriend while I'd been in numerous relationships, I moved to London at 16 and was very independent.
"It wasn't our fault we didn't work, for me it he was the right person at the completely wrong time."
Will this year's love birds find a happier ending? To be honest, we just want all the high drama - so bring on tonight's first episode.
