Fighting back the tears as she spoke to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Amanda said: "There was no reason for Theo’s stillbirth and so I was partly relieved, because I thought, 'Good, we can have another baby.'"

She added: "Part of me was like, 'Oh god, what have I done? Is it something I have done? Was it because I ate those McDonald’s fries the day before?'"

Recalling the awful moment, Amanda revealed she was watching Myleene Klass on Loose Women at the time, which made he think she hadn't felt her baby move for a while. She said: "I was watching Myleene on Loose Women. She was pregnant with Hero at the time, who is the age Theo would have been. I then thought, 'God I haven’t felt him move for a while.' I had a bath, then a coffee, still nothing. I then got in the car and drove to hospital."

Amanda then told the hosts: "My lovely midwife, Jackie, told me she couldn’t find a heartbeat and that was the start of the horrible day. You have to then deliver this baby.

"That’s why it’s different from a miscarriage. Giving birth and having a miscarriage are two very different things."

Amanda and Chris were already parents to their daughter Alexa when they tragically lost Theo, and they later welcomed another child, a girl called Hollie in 2012.

Speaking about how the birth of Hollie helped the couple cope, Amanda said: "It’s the only way you get better — having a baby again, having your arms full. I know that having a baby helped me to continue to live."
