Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has opened up to The Mirror about her friendship with fellow judge Simon Cowell after ten years of their professional relationship.
The 45-year-old mum has shared how both of their experiences of grief have created an amazing bond between the pair, and that Simon supported her through the loss of her stillborn son.
Amanda said "We've gone from having a massive laugh about things, to both going through very personal things that have been horrendous. But we've supported each other in that, and come out at the other end".
She also stated how she can understand Simon's decision to return to work on the X Factor just two days after losing his mother.
The mum of two - Lexi, ten, and Hollie Rose, four, miscarried a baby boy 16 weeks into her pregnancy in 2010 and returned to her Britain's Got Talent judging seat just two weeks later.
Amanda has also expressed her delight that her fellow mentor has settled down into family life with girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their son Eric - saying that "seeing him finally meet someone who has turned him into a family man and seeing him with his child, it's been really wonderful".
