She’s long been one of the shining stars of British TV, but Alison Hammond could be on the brink of superstardom after being hailed in America.
Respected Hollywood publication Variety named the presenter, 49, as one of their ‘30 Most Powerful Women on Reality TV’ – and sources tell Closer that Alison is determined to make 2025 her most incredible year yet.
An insider reveals, ‘Alison is so overwhelmed by how her career is going. It’s gone full pelt and to be recognised by Variety is huge. She’s still the very humble girl from Big Brother so she’s blown away by it all.’
Alison found fame as a bubbly Big Brother housemate in 2022. Since then, she’s gone from strength to strength, becoming a regular on This Morning, competing on Strictly and hosting For The Love of Dogs.
But in recent years, Alison – who shares son Aiden, 20, with ex-fiancé Noureddine Boufaied – has started making waves overseas too, going viral with clips of her hilarious interviews with stars such as Beyoncé and Ryan Gosling. The Great British Bake Off also opened Alison up to an international audience as the show - licensed in 35 countries – has exploded on Netflix in America with millions of viewers.
Now, insiders say that Alison’s plotting her next moves and is looking to another powerful Black woman for inspiration.

And with Alison’s romance with masseur boyfriend David Putnam – who at 27 is 22 years her junior – said to still be going well, things are looking bright.
