Alicia and producer husband Swizz Beats welcomed their son into the world over the weekend, naming their pride and joy Genesis Ali.
The baby boy is a younger brother for elder son, 4-year-old Egypt Daoud.
The Grammy award winning star shared a picture of two baby footprints boasting of their son’s birthday.
She captioned the snap with: “The joy of joy is joy!! It's a boy!! we are so grateful!!”
The make shift birth certificate’ read: “Date: 12/27/2014, Time: 1:52 AM, Weight: 2860 grams, 6lbs, 5 ozs.”
Earlier this year, Alicia, 33, revealed to a US magazine that son Egypt was very excited about becoming a brother.
She said: “I think he’s super excited because he’s not going to be the youngest anymore,”
The unusual name Genesis means ‘the beginning’ and has Greek roots.
