Alex Reid has written an open letter to his ex-wife’s new husband; apparently warning him about what being in a relationship with the glamour model is really like.
"Dear Kieran. You're now officially on the Katie Price roller coaster ride. I've been there and I just about survived!"
Admitting that he ‘just about survived’ his 11-month marriage to the mother-of-three, the cage fighter has used his own experiences to warn the 25-year-old stripper what life with Katie has in store, admitting that she is like being with ‘Jekyll and Hyde.’
Opening his letter, Alex writes: "Dear Kieran. You're now officially on the Katie Price roller coaster ride. I've been there and I just about survived!"
The 37-year-old goes on to warn Kieran, 25, not to get too comfortable with his newfound fame.
‘I got a request to do a mag interview on my own… I wanted to do it, but Katie said no,’ he said.
‘‘We had a fight and then she said: ‘It isn't all about you. You'll never be as famous as me.”
And it doesn’t stop there, Alex then reveals that although things may well be steamy now, that will likely change.
"The sex was amazing at first but it fizzled out," he said.
"She used sex as a weapon."
“Katie’s a very insecure person. I think she feels more secure and safe in a marriage."
Alex – who split with Katie in January 2011 – went on to advise Kieran to “grow a thick skin, keep your old friends and don't do things just to please others. Oh, and don't trust anyone at all.”
Before anding the letter with his well-wishes.
“I genuinely wish you and Katie happiness. Good luck, Alex Reid.”
Meanwhile, Katie’s more recent ex Leandro Penna has confessed that he is ‘still shocked’ after finding out that Katie married Kieran just three months after they called off their engagement.
“To be honest, I am still shocked,” he said. “I wasn’t upset. But I was, I think the word is, flabbergasted.
“Katie’s a very insecure person. I think she feels more secure and safe in a marriage. For her it’s as if there’s a very low risk of a man leaving her then.”
The Argentinean model then went on to reveal that he never actually proposed to the 34-year-old, he just bought her a promise ring.
‘I gave her it, she asked if it was an engagement ring…I said it wasn’t but then she asked again. She had tears in her eyes and was holding my hand tight – I didn’t want to upset her, so I agreed,’ he admitted.
“I said: ‘Yes Katie, it’s an engagement ring if that’s what you want it to be.’ But I never got down on one knee or asked her: ‘Will you marry me?’”
