Cage fighter Alex Reid has claimed that his ex wife Katie Price made money out of him cross-dressing.

Earlier this week, Katie told the Loose Women panel that she wanted to see new film The Danish Girl, about Lili Elbe, the first ever person to have a sex change operation, because she’d experienced a “similar situation”.

Her comments left Alex seething and, in an interview with the Sun, he claims the former glamour model used him for financial gain. The cage fighter alleges that when he first appeared on public dressed as a woman (at Katie’s Standing Out book launch in 2009) it was all Katie’s idea.

“The only reason people know about Roxanne is because she exposed me at her book launch,” Alex said to the Sun. “Even then they didn't meet the real her, they met Katie's version of Roxanne - one she had conjured up for her own financial and business gains.

“I didn't want what I did privately to be forever in all the newspapers. There's not many things I regret, but I regret that book launch.”

Alex also berated Katie for bringing up their relationship, adding: “I don't want - especially on daytime TV - for [Katie] to be talking about my private sex life.

“She says she doesn't want to talk about me, or give me airtime but she continues to talk about me - it's disgusting. I don't want my family and my daughter [Dolly] - let alone her own kids - to hear this stuff.”
