Earlier this month, Alex Jones and her husband Charlie Thomas announced that they're expecting a baby.

"Absolutely delighted and feel very lucky that we're about to become parents. #AndBreatheOut #NewBabyAlert"

Speaking about her pregnancy on The One Show, the 39-year-old said: "Lots of you had guessed – I'd been trying to breathe in, but now the secret's out I can relax. And breathe out.

"I've had no sickness and no tiredness. I feel great!"

Aww, we're so happy for you Alex!

She has since received an overwhelming amount of support and Alex has now opened up about her past fertility fears.

She has previously spoke about fertility in her thirties and now the mum-to-be admitted that she was naïve about the impact age may have on a woman's fertility.

Appearing on This Morning, Alex revealed that she was shocked when she discovered that her mum went through menopause at 44-years-old. "We've never talked about menopause [mum and I] because it wouldn't come up normally.

"And she told me that and I thought 'Gosh, I've got six years,' and I've always wanted a family."

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Scofield, Alex said: "Nobody leaves it late on purpose, it's all a case on timing, when you meet your partner, when there's a gap in your career.

"But for me, family was the number one priority but I didn’t meet my husband until a bit later on and we wanted to get married first."

After getting married, Alex confessed that she started to worry about having kids in her late thirties: "Faced with what mum said and faced with having the test to see how inside was looking, it was quite stressful."

She added that although at 35-years-old your fertility chances begin to drop, everyone is different inside.

We can't wait to meet her new bubba!
