The intimate image, which sees the Ironic songstress laughing as she breastfeeds her young son Ever, is captioned: "family on tour ;) europe 2012 #worldbreastfeedingweek #isupportyou @msjamielynne #everlovedhischakraglasses @jaygordonmdfaap"
The 40-year-old, whose son is now three, shared the image to support World Breastfeeding Week, which runs from 1st – 7th August.
It's not the first time that Alanis has opened up about her pro-breastfeeding stance.
In 2012 she tackled the debate on attachment parenting during an interview with Good Morning America, addressing the effect of the recent Time magazine cover, and the stages of 'appropriate' childhood development.
