She is the ‘It girl’ of the moment after starring in one of the world’s hottest shows, The White Lotus, and with lots of attention on her iconic smile, Aimee Lou Wood, 31, has revealed how she’s keeping a level head after rocketing to fame.
Speaking exclusively to Closer at the Royal Television Society Awards, she told us, ‘People sent me that I was number one on the IMDB chart and I was in a car park in Salford.
‘It’s cool, but unless you let it get in, it doesn’t really have much of an impact on the real you in everyday life. I think if I thought about it for too long or took it too seriously, I’d probably get quite freaked out.’

After growing close to her Daddy Issues on-screen father David Morrissey, she added, ‘I’m just here pretending to be David’s daughter and we’re just having really nice chats and being really silly and making up songs.’
Describing her White Lotus co-stars – who include Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs and Patrick Schwarzenegger – as a ‘gorgeous dysfunctional family’, she said, ‘It was pretty much like the Big Brother house.
‘We were living in the hotel that we were filming in, so you live on set and it’s only the cast and crew around. We’re all very webbed and woven and it was very hard to separate at the end. It was really unusual, nothing like I’ve experienced before.’

Since becoming a household name Stateside as well as at home in the UK, Aimee’s iconic smile has become a hot topic, with her saying in a recent interview, ‘I can’t believe the impact my teeth are having.
'The Americans can’t believe it, but they’re all being lovely. I’d hope that people don’t start filing their teeth so they have gaps!’
