They confirmed their romance over two years ago at an NBA basketball game. But after months of speculation, Adele appears to have finally confirmed that she and partner Rich Paul have officially tied the knot.
At an intimate comedy gig hosted by her close friend Alan Carr in LA last week, Adele is reported to have shouted, “I did!” when the comedian asked if any audience members had got married recently. The happy couple were then pictured in the crowd at a basketball game in LA with Adele wearing a collection of rings on her wedding finger.
And as the superstar has made no secret about her wish to become a mum again, fans are now hoping that a baby announcement could be next for the happy couple.
Adele, 35, has long been open about wanting to give her son Angelo, 11 – who she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki – a sibling.
Opening up about her plans to extend her family last February on the Graham Norton Show, Adele said, “I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I've caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”
Later that year she added, “I definitely want more kids. I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music.”
And the mum of one made it very clear that welcoming a new addition with Rich, 41, would be her top priority following her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, which the singer has recently extended until June next year.
Helping an audience member to choose her baby’s name during one of her concerts in August, Adele revealed, “I really want to be a mum again soon. I’ve actually been writing lists. So every time I see a name I like, I write it down on my phone.”
Last month Adele was also surprised when she spotted the doctor who delivered Angelo in the audience at another concert. Reaching out to hug him, the singer tearfully said, “Oh my god, Colin! This is my doctor that gave birth to my baby! I’m desperate for another baby… So I might give you a call.”
Rich – who is dad to two older children – is also on board, admitting last year that he was looking forward to being an “older dad”.
Closer has previously reported how the sports agent has been encouraging Adele to take some time to rest following her collapse due to sciatica (a muscular pain sending shooting pains down from the lower back) in August.
A source at the time said Adele was researching and seeking the best advice for a healthy pregnancy, and that Rich had kicked caffeine and alcohol in order to do his bit.
Previously opening up about motherhood, Adele – who dedicated the song Sweet Devotion to Angelo, has called her son “the love of my life”.
