Adele has visited the firefighters who were on duty during the Grenfell Tower fire for a "cup of tea and a cuddle"
World-famous pop star Adele has proved once that she's a down-to-earth, real-life human being.
Firstly, the mum-of-one was spotted with her husband Simon Konecki by on-lookers at a vigil held for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire last Wednesday night.
There was no public announcement from her management company or on her Twitter page - the only way her appearance came to light was by people recognising her.
Now the music-maker has taken the time to go and personally meet the firefighters who tackled the blaze which has so far claimed the lives of 79 people.
Adele, 29, headed down to Chelsea Fire Station yesterday to share a "cup of tea and a cuddle" with the heroes.
Rob Petty posted photos of the make-up-free star on Facebook, writing: "Not everyday the wonderfully grounded and caring Adele pops into Chelsea Firestation for a cup of tea and a cuddle."
People took to Twitter and Facebook to praise the star.
One person wrote on the Facebook post: "It's fantastic that she stopped by to see you all," and another said: "I know you are back on duty today, and my thoughts are with you all. Thank you for your dedicated service, all of you!"
Others wrote on Twitter: "Adele deserves recognition for taking the time to comfort the victims of the Glenfell Fire as well as visiting the firefighters ❤️," and another added: "Absolutely lovely, just like Adele and thank you heroes for all your amazing heroism."
An official number of deaths has yet to be determined.
Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the fire. ❤️
