Adam Woodyatt’s acting career has taken a turn after he left Albert Square in early 2021 and revealed that he’s swapping the soap for the saucepan.

That's right. Instead of appearing on our screens every evening playing the iconic character Ian Beale, he will be hosting a BBQ at Pub in the Park in Tunbridge Wells. To share the glorious news, Adam reposted a graphic to his Instagram Story with the caption 'BBQ with Beale!!!'

The exciting news comes as Adam has been documenting his new culinary skills on Instagram and spending a lot of time in the kitchen - rustling up everything from homemade sushi to smoked trout and roe with truffled cream cheese. So fancy!

One fan commented 'Wow hidden talent
Masterchef calling', whilst another shared 'Sometimes trying different things work'. Another asked, 'Meals on Beales?' which he needs to get trademarked immediately.

Best of luck on your newest foodie venture, Mr Beale.

Is Adam Woodyatt returning to EastEnders?

During a chat on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch, Adam admitted that he has “no plans” to go back to EastEnders any time soon, as the future for Ian Beale is unknown.

He went on to explain, "I left because of the way the storyline was going, because Ian needed to go. Not me going, 'I wanna leave', or them saying, 'You're going'. That was the storyline.".

If Ian Beale was to make a comeback, it would have to be at the right time, Adam stated, explaining “The timing has got to be right for me to go back because I don't know what else I'm going to be doing.".

Whether it be at Albert Square or Cooking with the Stars, we hope Adam returns to our screens sometime soon.

Who is Adam Woodaytt's wife Beverley Sharp?

Adam and Beverley announced their split in August 2020, and after over 20 years of marriage, they admitted that the marriage quietly ended in 2019.

Adam is now living in a £93k motorhome which he initially bought for the UK tour of the play ‘Looking Good Dead’, in which he starred in. However, after enjoying the camper life so much, he decided to move into it permanently.

Adam Woodyatt's weight loss journey

Not only has Adam turned his life around with a new career and new home, but he has also lost over three stone thanks to going sober.

In an interview with The Mirror, Adam said how much easier it was to get fit once he’d stopped drinking, saying that was the “biggest change” he made. "With giving up alcohol, the weight drops off and because the weight dropped it was easier to cycle. So it was easier to stay fit."

What happened to Adam Woodyatt in the I'm A Celebrity jungle?

In December 2021 Adam returned to TV, this time on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity
Get Me Out of Here, and caused a stir with his personal hygiene habits.

Adam was subject to disgust from his fellow celebs after he admitted to the Telegraph “I could smell myself.”, as he apparently rarely showered in the castle, and a fellow campmate revealed on the show that he had “one shower in three weeks”, with another hilariously claiming that he smelt “like a shinpad”. How showbiz!

After being a latecomer to the show he was the 6th celeb to be eliminated from the castle. On his departure, he told Ant and Dec; “'I've had a fantastic time. It was going to be a new start. There's a lot of stuff still going on”. He went on to discuss his mental health, saying “Mentally I had sorted myself out, I sorted my head out, which is why I loved it so much.”
