This week he was found guilty of sexual activity with a 15-year-old, and it’s been alleged Adam Johnson’s love life has always been troubled.
In 2010, the disgraced Sunderland footballer, 28, was reportedly dumped by his then-girlfriend, Big Brother winner Sophie Reade – over former glamour model Katie Price.
According to reports, Adam – who has split from long-term girlfriend and the mother ofhis young child Stacey Flounders – bid £12,000 for a date with the Pricey, who was married to cage fighter Alex Reid at the time.
Adam was playing for Manchester City at the time, and Katie, 37, is said to have promised ‘a night you’ll never forget’.

But just moments after he and Micah Richards placed their bid, Sophie ended their relationship via text.
At the time the Daily Star reported Sophie told friends: “He humiliated me in front of hundreds of people. There’s no way he can get away with that.
“If he wanted to raise money for charity then he should have run a marathon.”
Despite the bid, it’s unconfirmed whether or not Adam’s date with Katie ever took place.
Adam’s ex-girlfriend Stacey is thought to have ended their relationship during the trial, after initially standing by him.
Now her father Gary has insisted she’ll never take Adam back. He told The Sun: “There’s no way back. She’s gone now.”
