Speaking to TMZ, his representatives told the US site, “Robin is simply taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud.”

The actor – who first checked into rehab in 2006 – has previously spoken out about his battle with alcoholism.

At the time, his people confirmed that Robin had fallen back into his addiction, telling his fans:

“After 20 years of sobriety, Robin Williams found himself drinking again and has decided to take proactive measures to deal with this for his own well-being and the well-being of his family.”

He’s now thought to be in a rehab centre, The Lodge, in Minnesota where it’s thought he will stay for ‘several weeks’.
