On Thursday, former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rihanoff announced on Celebrity Big Brother that she was expecting a baby with her boyfriend Ben Cohen.
Ben’s ex wife Abby, who has two children with the rugby player, is said to be “devastated” by the news and it’s claimed she had no idea her former husband was expecting another child.
“Abby is absolutely devastated,” an insider told the Sun. “The first she knew of it was when people began ringing her. It was insensitive and hurtful.”
They added: “The fact Ben didn’t even have the decency to tell Abby before she revealed it to her housemates on the show cut her to the quick. She sent him a flurry of angry text messages asking for an explanation.”
Speaking yesterday, Abby, 37, told reporters, “This news has come as a shock to us all. Please respect mine and my children’s privacy at this time.”
Kristina’s announcement came as a shock to the audience of the Channel 5 show, as she gathered her fellow housemates and revealed she was three months gone.
She said: “There was something [that] happened in my life before I came into the house over Christmas … and obviously I thought it’s very private news, you know, but because we are living as one family now and everybody is sort of supporting one another now, it happened to be that I found that my boyfriend and I are going to have a little one.”
Kristina confirmed the couple – who were paired together on SCD in 2013 – had found out their news over Christmas.
