Despite her husband's job, Abbey, 29, insists de wasn't attracted to him for what he does for a living, and insisted girls who target football players to sell kiss-and-tells are 'stupid'.
Speaking to Women's Health magazine, the former Strictly Come Dancing champ said: "It bothers me when you see all them [sic] stupid girls sleeping with footballers then selling their stories the next day.
"That's the opposite end of the scale from my life. I've got zero interest. We met as people. Fell in love. Pete's the kindest, funniest person ever."
Abbey, who shares two daughters with 34-year-old Pete, insisted the only plus-side to his high earning potential is the shoes she can buy.
She added: "And I think I'm normal. Nothing in my life has changed morally. I can just afford more expensive shoes than I could when I was growing up."
Abbey also addressed claims of the Strictly ‘curse’, insisting it only happens if the contestants are already having problems in their relationships.
“It’s intense. I think it’s quite a fairytale. Especially for the woman I don’t know… for the man too!” she said.
“Because the men are used to their normal life, then they’ve got these sexy dancers flopping around them.
“But I don’t think that happens unless you’re unhappy in your relationship. Because it didn’t cross my mind.”
