Short answer? NoTeenage skin is much thicker than adult skin. Skin becomes thinner and more sensitive over time meaning that those zit-busting lotions and potions you used as a teenager could actually harm your skin.Teenage products such as Clearasil and Clean & Clear are great for your kids or younger brothers and sisters, but as an adult you should opt for more gentle treatments.

Clinique’s three-step skin care routine. First of all use a gentle facial wash with luke-warm water, and pat dry with a clean towel. Then use the exfoliating clarifying lotion to completely cleanse the skin of any remain dirt or dead skin cells. Depending on your skin type, you will be given either No.1, No,2 or No.3.The third step is the dramatically different moisturiser. This keeps your skin supple and moisturised without adding oil to your skin.

You can still wear make up when you break out, just make sure you don’t wear heavy make up… Try opting for BB cream instead of heavy foundation.Always use clean brushes and fingers when applying make up- and make sure you remove it all at the end of the day!

Your skin is a major indicator at how well your general health is doing. If you’re skin is failing to clear up, visit your local GP. They should be able to prescribe something to help with breakouts or find out the root of the problem.
