How to make your eyes look bigger

Want to get that do-eyed, wide-awake look? You need to get tight lining immediately. Here’s how.

Tightlining is lining the innermost part of your eyelid - which you don’t usually reach - in order to create a large eyed look.

Wayne Goss shows us how to get bigger, more defined eyes

Because the part of your lid where you’ll be applying liner is wet, you need to use waterproof liner.

Our personal favourite is gel liner - because it doesn’t bleed (like liquid liner can) or tug at the skin like pencil.


So here’s how to go about getting the look:

1.) Look down, pull your eyelid up and draw onto the upper lash line.

2.) You can then apply another thin line above your lash line, to create the effect of bigger eyes.

3.) Finish the look by curling and using mascara on your lashes

When using gel, push the liner into the lashline
