Step one:

Although this style is mega-sleek, it still needs some oomph at the roots to balance the bottom heavy bounce. Sneak a head start by using a volumising shampoo first, then massage the matching conditioner into the ends only.

Step two:

Avoid overloading hair and invest in a two-in-one heat protection meets frizz-fighting mist – they’re easier to distribute evenly than lotions. Blow dry hair smooth, then run straighteners over it, smoothing sections in an upwards and outwards motion to keep maximum volume and shape.

Step three:

Next, use the slender end of a pintail brush to make the same precision side parting as Claire’s and then draw hair into a ponytail using a transparent snagless elastic. Fix at the point you’d like the bob to sit at and roll the tail under the elastic securing at the nape of the neck using kirby grips. Use grips in the same shade as your hair colour to pin underneath.

Step four:

Finally, tuck one side behind your ear like Claire, and lock down the look with a mist of high shine hairspray. Ta da! Your commitment-free crop… we won’t tell if you don’t!
