Straight hair

"My hair is really straight and tends to look flat, especially after a long day of running around after the kids! My speedy styling tip is a hair dryer to create volume at the roots and make it look more bouncy", says mum-of-two Grace Chenning.

"Before blow-drying, I spray my hair with the TRESemmé Heat Defence Spray, because I want to keep it protected from the heat." Surprisingly, blow-driers are one of the biggest culprits of damaged hair. Hair dryers work at a lower temperature than straighteners, but the damage from the heat of a hair dryer and brushing happens more in the long run. When you blow-dry wet hair, it's weaker and so more susceptible to breakage, so always be sure to use a heat protectant if you're drying or styling your hair with heat!

Grace added, "I blow dry my hair against the direction it will lay, as this helps to create volume and a boost! Honestly, I swear by this tip - it creates volume every time!"

Thin hair

"I used to have thick hair but I noticed that it got a lot thinner after I had my daughter. As a result, my hair seems to get a lot more greasy quickly now, which is a big pain as I don't have the time to wash it every day," Vanessa Clover explained.

"So my go-to tip for time-poor mums is to spritz some dry shampoo onto you hair before you go to sleep, so it absorbs all of the oil and grease overnight. When you wake up, just brush your hair and it'll look good as new!"

Curly hair

"I'm always on the run so I don't have the time to spend ages on styling my hair, but I still do want to look put together," says Tessa Marsh. "My simple trick for curly-haired mums is to use a diffuser to set your curls in place and reduce frizz.

"After washing my hair, I spray it with TRESemmé Heat Defence Spray to help protect it from heat damage. I like this product because it doesn't leave any nasty residue on my hair and I've really noticed a difference since I've been using it. Then, I use a diffuser on a medium heat until my hair is dry and my curls are soft! Easy-peasy."

Thick hair

Mum-of-two Fou Anastasiou told us: "I find my thick hair quite hard to manage, so during the morning rush I normally just fashion it into a messy bun. I gather my hair low at the base of my neck and tie it into a bun. Then I pull some strands loose to give it a dishevelled look. It really is that easy!"

Other fuss-free styles for thick hair are a simple French braid and a sleek low ponytail - both perfect for seeing you through the school run and a day at the office!
