Bored of your everyday 'do? Fancy trying something new? We asked award-winning hairdresser and tamer of celeb locks, Lee Stafford, to talk us through the hottest new hair trends for A/W '15...
Bleachy keen
“A trend which is set to be huge this A/W is the super bleach blonde look with dark roots peeking through. I’ve always been a fan of dark roots with blonde hair and now thanks to celebs such as Poppy Delevingne and Kylie Jenner, it’s officially back in fashion. The key to this look is making sure your blonde is icy white with just half an inch or so of dark roots coming through. The white blonde colour can be tricky to pull off so always ask a hairdresser’s advice and they will give you a colour to suit you. Make sure your maintain your blonde and keep it looking salon-fresh with a tone-correcting spray three times a week. This is essential to keep it moisturised and protected, and also prevent damage after using bleach.”

The ‘Hun’
"If you’re looking for an on-trend up-do this A/W, it’s definitely going to be the ‘Hun’ (aka the half bun). This messy half-up half-down look is low maintenance and bang on trend thanks to celebs such as J-Lo and Khloe Kardashian. Just section off the top layer of your hair from your ears to the crown of your head and tie into a ponytail. Wrap the ponytail around itself until it forms a bun and secure into place with grips. The messier, the better!”

Pastel pretty
“As seen on celebs such as Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora, pastel hair is one of my favourite trends for A/W as it’s such a fun way to mix up your look. If you have blonde hair, you can get a lilac tinge by leaving a purple toning shampoo in your hair for 45 minutes.”

The new ‘Lob’
“The day of long hair extensions is over, and short hair is making a huge comeback. My favourite cut for A/W is the new ‘Lob.’ From Sienna Miller to Leona Lewis, almost every celebrity has been seen rocking this messy, grungier version of the classic long bob. The new ‘Lob’ sits just above the shoulders and looks best with lots of texture. Spritz a sea salt spray over dry hair and lightly scrunch it with your hands.”
