Well, those TOWIE producers sure know what they're doing because their decision introduced us to our faves Ella Rae Wise, Dani Imbert and Roman Hackett.
Speaking of Roman, despite barely being in any drama during his four-year stint, he's certainly kept us entertained and has even managed to get Love Island's Matilda Draper a role on the show. So without further ado, here's your need to know on TOWIE's Roman...

Turns out Roman is the youngest of the TOWIE bunch at 23 years old. Shortly before joining the show he had just turned 18 and went out to his first bar during his first TOWIE scene.

He's mainly known for his TOWIE role but Roman is also a model and a lifestyle manager for his mum's brand AMLuxe The Agency.

Well, after Ella posted a 'mad photo' (Roman's words, not ours) he slid into her DMs telling her she was 'looking nice'.
The duo came face to face for the first time during TOWIE and appeared to hit it off over a drink. They had a short lived romance but are now close friends.
Who is Roman Hackett friends with?
He's rarely involved in any drama which means Roman is friends with everyone on the cast but he's mainly BFFs with Sammy Root, Dan Edgar, Diags and Jordan Brook.
And although they're now friends, Roman previously joked about Junaid Ahmed being 'irrelevant' during an exclusive chat with Closer Online.
It all came about when Junaid revealed how he'd previously been approached to appear on the ITVBe show by producers multiple times.
He said, 'My first ever meeting with TOWIE was when I was actually 18, so absolute years ago. At the time, when I was 18, two of my best friends were on the show.
'Obviously, it didn't happen and then, a few years later, TOWIE got back in contact. It still didn't happen and then I got a call this year from the execs and they were like, "We want you to come on the show." It was literally so quick and then I was going to the Dominican.'
'So, back then you were irrelevant really,' Roman chimed in. OUCH.
'I wasn't irrelevant. Timing is everything in life, Roman. Okay? You're 20, darling,' Junaid hit back.
The shade didn't end there either, as when we caught up with Roman, Junaid, Jordan Brooks and Saffron Lempriere they took part in the viral TikTok 'I'm passing the phone to someone...' trend.
And it was in Closer's TikTok where Roman said, 'I'm going to pass the phone to the biggest clout chaser in Essex.'
LOL.
We know he's only joking and good job too because there's been enough drama during the latest series of TOWIE.
Are Roman Hackett and Dani Imbert related on TOWIE?
Roman and Dani are close family friends but when he first joined the show, Dani did say they're 'semi cousins' but Roman denied it. Good job too, because it's since come to light that they've shared several kisses.
What happened with Roman Hackett and Dani Imbert?
Roman has been family friends with Dani way before they joined TOWIE but things took a turn in their friendship over Dani's relationship with her now ex-boyfriend Gatsby.
Roman asked Dani (who was dating Gatsby at the time), 'Have you said to me before you're not happy with Gatsby?'
She then replied, 'Maybe I've confided in you a bit too much. Maybe it's insecurity, whatever.'
But things took a turn when Roman left the conversation and said, 'Crack on with your fake relationship, yeah. You're a f---ing joke.'
Fast forward to now and the pair have kissed and made up (literally), although they have decided to stop kissing because it was causing too much drama.
What happened between Roman Hackett and Chloe Brockett?
Following Chloe Brockett's fling with James Lock, there was speculation surrounding her relationship with Roman. However after a fan asked Chloe if there's something between them, she was quick to respond and spill the tea.
Although, it did appear that they'd shared a snog in 2023 after a photo emerged of make-up all over Roman's face... However following a feud on set, they fell out and Chloe B quit the show.
Who is Roman Hackett dating?
Err, have you been watching TOWIE? He's totally loved up with series 11 Islander Matilda. They've been dating since November 2024 and she's even opened up about their relationship to Closer magazine.
She told us, 'He has basically moved into my flat. He is there more or less every day. He has got part of the wardrobe – a tiny section that keeps getting bigger and bigger... he leaves his stuff there.
‘It has moved so quick, but we are so pure with how much we love each other. We can’t help but be open, which I love. I wouldn’t want someone who was nonchalant. I want someone to be loud about how much they love me!’
Before Matilda though, Roman sparked dating rumours with Chloe B, Ella, Dani and even Elma Pazar. He's also been linked to THREE (yes, three) Love Island stars - Ella Barnes, Liberty Poole and Summer Botwe.

Roman may be one of the latest cast members to join the show but that's not stopped him from getting his family involved too.
Not only have we seen his mum Anne-Marie and his nephew on the show but in 2023 he also shared a behind-the-scenes look at filming with his nan.
