At a recent concert in Sydney, Australia, the rapper reportedly demanded that wheelchair users stand up, telling the audience: “I can’t do this song. I can’t do this show until everybody stand up […] Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and sh*t.”
A fan then waved his prosthetic leg in the air before the rapper ‘permitted’ that he could remain seated…
Kanye faced a massive blacklash from people around the world, in particular disabled people who found the incident offensive.
An image posted on Imgur showed a little boy wear the cause close to his chest- literally- as he sported a t-shirt reading simply ‘F*** You Kanye’.
Many fans took to Twitter to condemn the singers actions, though he later defended himself during a lengthy rant following wife Kim Kardashian’s own take on the night.
She wrote on Instagram in the rapper’s defence: Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair.
Despite the fact that young children probably shouldn’t be encouraged to swear, at least the little boy is taking a stand for what he believes is right.
