When Ada Guan embarked on a flight, she had absolutely no idea what the Air Canada flight had in store for her.

After a short while in the air, the young woman began experiencing stomach pains, but quickly dismissed them as trapped gas.

However Ada soon realised that the cramps were getting steadily more intense, and showed no sign of dying down as the flight continued to make its way across the Pacific Ocean.

And, when her worried boyfriend gave her the quick once-over, the truth quickly became clear; Ada was 36 weeks pregnant - and her baby girl had decided that she wanted to make her debut appearance at 36,000 feet.

Her partner Wesley explained: “This happened completely unexpectedly.

“She told me ‘something fell out of me’, and I lifted up her pants and I saw a head…

“And I said ‘I think we have a kid’.”

Fortunately there were three doctors on board ready to help out, and Ada and Wesley were quickly upgraded from economy to first class for the birth. Win!

Both Ada and Wesley were stunned by the arrival of their daughter, especially because Ada had taken two pregnancy tests - one at home and the other at the doctor’s office - and both had come back negative.

Meanwhile baby Chloe, who was born over the Pacific Ocean, could possibly be eligible for both Canadian and American citizenship.

Well, it’s the least she deserves for planning such an amazing debut appearance, we think!
