Elizabeth explained on her website that she would allow the final bidder to see pictures of her face and they would be able to withdraw their bid if they wished.

But now she has changed her mind and shown her face. Speaking to a US website, Elizabeth said: “I actually don’t like the anonymity. People mistake it for shame. Plus, there has been some speculation that I would be outed and I wanted to do it on my own terms.”

Waving her anonymity, Elizabeth posted new pictures on her website which include her face, under the heading ‘My true identity.’ However she still refuses to reveal her real name or the name of her university.

The highest bid stands at $555,000 (via elizabeth-raine.com)

Elizabeth’s auction started on March 31st and will close on May 7th. So far the highest bid is $550,000.

On her website, Elizabeth lists the reasons why she wants to sell her virginity. Money, adventure, eroticism, scandal and absurdity are her main reasons for wanted to put a price on herself.

She says: “Shouldn’t the value of virginity benefit women rather than hurt them? I see no good reason why I should not take advantage of mine. Is it possible it will turn into a mistake? They say anything is possible., but really there is only one way to find out.”
