White Christmas for 2014? Blizzard warnings for Britain

Forecasters predict that the tail end of a violent storm in the Atlantic will see Britain hit by 80mph winds, with snow also on its way for most of the country.

Snow has already been reported in Scotland and North England on Monday morning, with more due to hit this week.

And now the Met Office has said unsettled conditions - rain, snow and wind - will continue for the next few weeks, meaning we could be in for some snowfall around Christmas itself.
