Sultan Kosen, who stands at 8ft 3in, married 21-year-old Merve Dibo, who is a much more modest 5ft 9 inches tall.

The 30-year-old found fame in 2009, when he made the Guiness World Records, and his wish at the time was that his newfound fame would help him find a wife.

'It’s really difficult to find a girlfriend. They are usually scared of me. Hopefully now that I'm famous I'll be able to meet lots of girls. My dream is to be married,' he said at the time

Since then, Kosen has received free life-saving surgery to stunt his growth, as well as tailor-made clothing.

And now, after two months of dating, he has tied the knot with 'the one.'

Sultan admits: 'When I looked into her eyes, I knew it was love'.

And Merve feels the same, adding:

'At first everyone around me told me not to marry him because of his height, but I fell in love with his heart, not his height. His height doesn't bother me at all.'
