A video published earlier this week has gone viral after it showed a man being verbally abusing a woman for breastfeeding in public, and becoming increasingly aggressive.
The clip takes place inside a relatively busy train carriage, and onlookers see the man accused the woman of "exposing herself." He asked her; "Why could you not make express or something before you came on here?” and demands she and baby move to another carriage, causing quite the scene.
But it turns out that was his exact intention, as both the man and woman were actors conducting a social experience in order to gauge how the public reaction to his unreasonable line of questions.
And the baby under the blanket? Simply a doll.
Initially, the carriage largely remains neutral as the man begins his onslaught.
He begins: "Excuse me... you're not breastfeeding are you?"
She replies: "I am... do you have a problem?"
And he continues:
"I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything but I feel a little bit uncomfortable about it. It's just a thing that's been passed down in my family... I just don't want you to do it in front of me. "
The feeding mother states: “My baby needs to eat.”
It’s not until he accuses her of exposing herself and asks her to move to a different seat that other people step in. One woman says:
“You should probably move away if you’ve got a problem... You should move over there if you’re going to critise someone for breastfeeding.”
But the angry man protests:“I pay my yearly ticket.”
And things get more and more heated between the actors and fellow passengers.
