Roman Atwood is famed for his YouTube pranks - but it seems as if he may have taken his latest one way too far.

In the clip, he takes his three-year-old son Kane riding around on a used four-wheeler.

His girlfriend shows up to inspect it and make sure it’s safe for her little boy, before heading off-camera to get something from her car.

But, while she’s gone, Rowan swaps his son out for a dummy wearing the same clothes.

As she comes back, Rowan allows the vehicle to drive off (as if out of control) with the fake child on the seat.

The four-wheeler jumps over a hill and causes a dramatic explosion - leaving the distraught mother convinced that her son has been killed.

Check it out:

The horror, and grief, and overwhelming relief on that young mother’s face is clear to see.

And we don’t blame her one little bit when, as her partner attempts to say sorry, she snaps: “Don’t touch me. I’m done.”

The video has clocked up over 10 million views on YouTube so far.

And, while some seem to find it funny, others have slammed the prankster for his actions.

“I'm sorry. but that s**t is not funny,” snaps one. “That is a cruel cruel joke - you should be ashamed of yourself!

Another added: “Pranks about the death of family members are sickening.

“I would NEVER put my wife through any forms of emotional trauma such as this, even if its a ‘joke’.

“Fk this ahole.”
