The base jumping community was left devastated when extreme sports athlete Erik Roner died after hitting a tree during a California sky dive.

The tragic accident happened just weeks ago, and has caused fans to resurface some of his more famous stunt videos, including those involving his very young children.

A video of Erik’s son appearing to take part in sky dives, cliff jumps and trampoline stunts has been doing the rounds on Facebook, garnering over 60,000 shares and 27,000 likes on the social networking site.

Erik and son Oskar are seen to be skiing and jumping off bridges as the proud dad describes why he decided to involve his young son in his work.

The father says: “Oskar hasn’t specifically told me that these are his goals but I see it in his eyes. He points at the sky a lot and I interpret that as he want’s to fly.”

However the soundtrack is accompanied by the sound of his son crying, and some shots appear to feature what resembles a doll, causing many to question (hopefuly) whether the videos are genuine.

Are you and your dad doing anything epic like Erik Roner and his son Oskar to celebrate #FathersDay? > >

Erik’s fans praised him in the comments, with one writing: “I wanted to add that I only hope I can be as good as a father as this guy. Erik Ronner for Dad of the Century!!!!!!(sic)”

But many claimed that they would have Child Protection Services on their case if they attempted to recreate some of Erik and Oskar’s stunts.

Before his untimely death, Erik even brought his stunts home with him.

In an Instagram video (which we hope is fake), Erik appears to catapult his young daughter into a wall.

It was shared with the caption: “Daddy’s home”.

Luckily, the little one didn’t appear to have been injured from the stunt.

Tributes from those in the base jumping community have poured in since his death along with wishes for his widow and two young children.
