Two brothers proved themselves as true animal lovers after they came to a stranded hammerhead shark’s aid.

The shark was spotted on the shoreline at a beach in Destin, Florida, when two brothers noticed that the sea predator was injured.

Hooks, thought to be from a fishing boat, had attached themselves to the poor shark, causing it a lot of distress.

The boys managed to remove the hooks

The brave brothers swam out and captured the shark and worked together to release the hooks from the shark’s flesh.

As other beachgoers looked on, the boys swam the shark out to deep water where it could swim away to safety.

No-one was injured during the rescue operation, proving that sharks and humans really can look out for each other.
