The girls allegedly broke the rules, which stated they had to wear "clothing, bikinis and nipple tassels" at all times, and stripped off at the pop-up club, leading to police shutting it down.

The dancers claimed they were promised 50 per cent of any credit card takings, which included £42,000 spent by one over-excited punter, and so, when Curtis Woodman refused to hand over the money, they took matters into their own hands.

Mandy Cool, 29, Rachel Goodchild, 24, and Stephanie Pye, 31, along with their agent Charlotte Devaney, 34, apparently called in two brothers to help them make Woodman see reason.

The jury heard how the girls trapped the club owner in their BMW car and drove him to a field where he was beaten up by Robert and Alexander Morris.

After being roughed up, Woodman was then apparently robbed of his £4,650 watch and forced to transfer £4,800 from his bank into Devaney’s account.

Prosecutor Mr Steen said: “The girls were to pay £150 each per night to be allowed into the club and any money paid to them in cash they were allowed to keep.

“But if the credit card machine available was used - the proceeds were to be split 50/50.

“One of the problems encountered on the first night was that a number of girls did not adhere to the rules.

"They insisted on taking their clothes off and complaints were made.

“As a result there was full lap-dancing entertainment - permitted on just one night by the license - on the Tuesday night and during that night one of the visitors used his credit card to spend something in the region of £42,000.”

The jury heard the club was shut down by the police three days after opening following complaints about breaches of the licence.

Mr Steen said: “As far as Mr Woodman was concerned he felt the girls had broken their contracts and were not entitled to keep the money, it was clear there was not going to be a meeting of minds and tempers were rising,

“As far as the girls were concerned they were hoping to have their share of the credit card payment of £42,000.”

All four women have denied the charges against him and the Morris brothers, despite sounding as if they learned everything they know from Phil and Grant Mitchell, have also denied any involvement.

Charlotte Devaney, who has a single coming our with Snoop Dogg, had her publicist release the following statement:

A statement released by her publicist said: 'On behalf of myself and the other girls involved in this case, I would like to state categorically that we are not guilty of this charge.

"In actual fact, we have been the wronged party and are confident the truth will come out.

"We are looking forward to going to court later this year to prove our innocence."

The trial continues.
