A petition has been set up online calling for the reality star to be questioned by police for ‘inciting racial hatred’ after she made comments on recent shootings in Israel.
Katie, 39, tweeted earlier this week: “Palestinians busy knifing Israelis. 2 stage solution my arse. Filthy rodents burrowing beneath Israel. Time to restart the bombing campaign.”
It is not yet clear whether or not the former Apprentice candidate was hacked or if she wrote the messages herself. Regardless, the outspoken star has yet to make further comment on the tweets.
The petition- which has garnered over 1000 signatures- will be sent to the police as well as the Home Secretary and the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The Director of Palestinian Solidarity Campaign told the Mirror: “The racism of the Israeli government against Palestinians exposes itself in many ways - from a young Palestinian being burned to death in Jerusalem over the summer, to homes in Gaza being bombed to rubble whilst Palestinian men, women and children were still inside.
"We find it shocking that this kind of racism can be propagated by people in this country, and that human life seems to have so little value to those who call for the deaths of Palestinians. Any decent person should oppose racism in all its forms, including racism directed at Palestinians.”
A formal investigation is yet to be launched into the comments.
