When a loved one urgently needs medical attention, we all do our best to make sure that they are seen to as soon as possible.

Yet one teen found herself being punished after she tried to save her father’s life when he fell ill following brain surgery.

Brave teen Adrienne rang 911 after he started having a violent seizure, falling unconscious and collapsing in their kitchen.

As the audio recorded before the operator picked up the phone, he caught wind of Adrienne’s cries of “What the f***?”

The operator then said (before asking what was wrong): “You don’t need to swear over 911”

He then hung up, to Adrienne’s shock. She called him back, understandably more upset and anxious.

“Are you going to send me an ambulance?” she said.

The operator shockingly responded: “Are you going to swear again you stupid a**?”

Speaking to local news, an obviously shaken Adrienne said: “It was really scary because it’s my dad”

“I was scared. I was freaking.”

Adrienne’s elder brother tended to her father as she ran to her nearby police station.

As she asked for help she was arrested for ‘abusing 911’. To add insult to injury, this charge is not a ‘legal charge’ in their home state.

The officer has not yet spoken out about how he acted on the phone to the teenager

His boss admits that they were at fault, simply saying the incident was ‘not our finest hour’.

Adrienne’s dad managed to get the help he needed at hospital after she and her brother eventually found help.
