Last year, Channel 4 documentary The Paedophile Hunter drew in audiences, charting the ups and downs of Internet ‘paedophile hunter’ Stinson Hunter and his work catching online predators.
Now the documentary, directed by filmmaker Dan Reed, has been nominated for a prestigious BAFTA television award.
Speaking to Closer after the documentary first aired, Stinson said: "In the last six months we’ve had more arrests and convictions than any police forces have had, that’s a fact, that’s why police would not release any information as it would validate everything that I’m saying.
"I’ve got the world to change now… The Internet is my tool."
The documentary has now been aired in countries around the world, reaching audiences as far away as Australia.
Stinson has continued his work on raising awareness of child sexual exploitation by starting an online documentary series entitled The Padeophile Hunter Diaries, due to kick off in May 2015.
The father-of-one also has a book in the works, detailing how he became the ‘Paedophile Hunter’.
The hit documentary is in respectable company, nominated alongside ‘Baby P: The Untold Story’, ‘Children of Syria’ and ‘The Miners Strike and Me’.
The awards take place on Sunday 10 May at the Theatre Royal in London.
The Paedophile Hunter is available to watch on 4OD.
