Kyle Careford, 20, and Michael Owen, 21, smashed into a church wall in East Sussex after careering down country lanes at up to 90mph.

And the dramatic footage of the moments before their untimely deaths has now been released by the men’s families, in the hope it may deter other youngsters from driving dangerously.

In the video, which we have not included here, they can be heard saying they are travelling at 90mph, while they laugh and joke along together.

Suddenly, the impact of the crash is heard as the screen goes black, before the camera slowly comes back into focus.

The footage makes for chilling watching

Moments later, a woman can be heard calling to the two men, asking if they can hear her.

‘An ambulance is on its way,’ she tells them, although it's already too late.

Both Kyle and Michael were killed instantly in the crash, which took place in a 30mph zone.

The families say they blame their sons for their deaths, adding that they hope the footage may make someone think twice before driving dangerously.

‘I would like all the young people out there to take notice and realise that you are not invincible and take seriously how previous your lives are to yourselves and others.

‘I want young drivers to consider how much devastation it causes to the families and loved ones that are left behind.’

Kyle and Michael were both wearing seat belts at the time of their deaths, but were found to have taken prescription and illegal drugs.
