The bank holiday weekend saw the nation celebrate the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second child: Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
But, while most people celebrated with a traditional bank holiday BBQ or a pitcher of Pimms, Pizza Hut have decided to celebrate in a way that only pizza lovers can truly appreciate.
Pizza lovers who go by the name of ‘Charlotte’, that is.
The restaurant chain have revealed that the first 100 customers to walk through their doors with ID proving that their name is Charlotte will receive a free meal!
Branches at The Strand in London, Kirkstall Road in Leeds, Liverpool ONE, Hanover Street in Edinburgh and the Trafford Centre in Manchester are offering the pizzas to the first lucky Charlottes.
Marketing director Kathryn Austin (keeping with the royal name theme!) told The Mirror: “The royal birth is such a momentous occasion, we want to celebrate and welcome the new arrival in a way that our customers can also enjoy.
"A new royal baby and a free pizza, sounds like the perfect combination.”
Kate Middleton gave birth early on Saturday morning, welcoming the royal baby girl at 8.34am after a 2 hour labour.
