According to reports, 84-year-old Harris is earning money in prison by looking after the grounds’ vegetable patch.

A source reveals that prisoners have been waiting up to 12 months to land a job working in the prison gardens, which has led to accusations of special treatment and favouritism.

A prisoner told The Sun: “Harris should be cleaning the toilets after what he did, it's completely unfair.”

Another said: “We all know he is a creative man but that doesn't mean he should get the plum job.”

Prisoners reportedly earn around £9.60 a week for jobs such as cooking, gardening, cleaning and carpentry.

The prison service has yet to comment on the matter, telling reporters that they ‘do not comment on individuals.’

Following Harris’ conviction, he has been stripped of his BAFTA fellowship and is said to be at risk of losing his CBE.

The entertainer’s multi-million pound estate could also be at risk due to compensation claims.
