For one bride, her big day took a dramatic turn when she was forced to return to the line of duty to save the life of her father and grandparents after they were involved in a horrific car crash
Putting the wellbeing of her family above her own big day, Sarah Ray rushed to the scene moments after saying her vows.
She arrived still in her wedding dress but ready to treat her loving family members.
Speaking to Channel 5 in Nashville, Sarah said: "Anybody in the EMS field would've done the same thing… I don't know if what I did was special but I was in a wedding dress."
According to reports, Sarah’s grandmother was worried that she had ‘ruined’ her granddaughter’s wedding day, but lovely Sarah insisted that treating her grandmother was ‘no big deal’.
Sarah’s mother Marcy Martin told the news station: "It shows her character and accentuates her beauty.”
