Most new parents now take to Facebook to announce the arrival of their new babies, with their first moments documented on several different social media channels.

Brandi McGlathery was particularly keen to share images of her baby boy Timothy, who was born without a nose or any nasal or sinus cavities.

The rare condition caught the attention of thousands of Facebook users, with over 30,000 people sharing the photos of Brandi’s adorable son.

Shockingly, Facebook removed the pictures after deeming them ‘too controversial’.

An upset Brandi told local news: "I posted the status with a link about it saying no one's going to keep me from posting photos of my child.

'If I can see completely distasteful things on Facebook all day long, then I can post a picture of my son.

'He was everywhere and he broke the internet!"

Disturbingly, Brandi received horrific messages from cruel trolls asking why she didn’t abort Timothy.

Luckily, more people supported the family and a GoFundMe page was set up to help raise money for Timothy’s future medical treatments.

Brandi explains: "He will have to have a tracheoomy & a feeding bag inserted into his stomach, which is also not what I expected.

"I would be so grateful for anything anyone could spare, but if you cannot afford to help with money I will be just as appreciative for prayers for my sweet Eli.

"He has a long road a head of him & we need all the support we can get."
