The NUT, which is the UK’s biggest teaching union, are set to stage a walkout tomorrow, following an on-going dispute over working conditions and salaries.

The strike, which will take place across England and Wales, is expected to affect the majority of schools across the UK, as tens of thousands of teachers have vowed to walk out.

And tonight, Ofsted’s chief, Sir Michael Wilshaw, has condemned the action, telling ITV News:

“I don't like strikes, I'm sure parents don't like strikes, I'm sure students don't like strikes.

Tomorrow's action is over working conditions and pay

“Learning is disrupted and teachers know that when children leave a school temporarily for day or two days ... it's much more difficult to get back to the routine.”

Tomorrow’s walkout is the latest in a series of strikes in the dispute, which has been going on for over two years.
