“My baby wasn’t yelling to be mean or because he was mad… it was purely from excitement and being happy"

Katie Leach and her 10-month-old son - along with the rest of her family - were out for dinner at the Texas Roadhouse in Nampa, Ohio.

Writing in a Facebook post to KTVB-TV, she explained: "He will yell when I tell him no, when he's super excited and happy or just for no reason at all.

Katie, hurt by the note, went over to confront the two women at their table.

However, despite trying to apologise and explain her child’s actions, they told her that they were appalled by her son’s behaviour.

Completely nonplussed, Katie told KBTV that she approached the manager of the restaurant and explained to him what had happened.

And he was, somewhat surprisingly, horrified.

He reportedly told the two women they could finish their dinner, but then had to leave quietly, before paying for Katie Leach’s meal.

“We’re in the hospitality business. We want all our guests to have a great experience,” said Travis Doster, a spokesman for Texas Roadhouse.

“We were voted one of the loudest restaurants by Consumer Reports. We are proud to be loud. If you want to hear clinking wine glasses and clinking forks, then this probably isn’t the place for you.”
