Guinerve Valenitn, 26, was visited by social workers who were horrified to discover her young daughter extremely malnourished and covered in bruises.
But when the social workers sent police to her home to arrest her, Guinerve told them: “I don’t care, I know she is dying.”
Attempting to justify the extreme neglect, she insisted her husband didn’t give her any money and she wanted a divorce.
Guinerve’s two sons, aged four and five, were found to be heathy, but they were still taken into care along with the little girl.
A police spokesperson confirmed: “The mother has been arrested.
“All three children have been taken into care. The baby girl was not in good health but she is now being looked after by social workers.”
Guinerve, from Tijuana, Baja, in Mexico, was already on a ‘risk’ register for the protection of children.
It is thought that Guinerve will now be charged with neglect.
