George Plitt Junior, 37, was on the railroad track near Burbank train station when he was hit by a passenger train, police confirmed.

From witness statements, investigators have said it seemed Plitt thought the train was on a parallel track, and that the one he was standing on was safe.

‘It’s like a blind turn. When the train came, you might not be able to tell which set the train is on,’ said Sgt. Scott Meadows.

The well-known fitness model had appeared on over 200 magazine covers, in American TV series, and even in daytime soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives.’

Tragically, a motivational video on his website shows the model working out on rail tracks similar to those he was killed on.

The 37-year-old spent five years in the army after graduating from university.
