A man has donated his 400-acre farm, worth $4 million, to the charity his beloved fiancée tirelessly worked for while she was alive.

"This is all for her"

American news site KARE 11 News reported that Curt Chergosky was absolutely besotted with Andrea Ruesch, a bubbly charity worker who was dedicated to giving kids a better future.

Reaching 50 and having never dated before, everyone was stunned when the bachelor farmer and Andrea became an item - but she soon became his world. Nobody was surprised when, just seven months into their relationship, Curt asked Andrea to marry him.

But then tragedy struck.

Just three months before their wedding, Andrea revealed that she didn't feel well. Curt called an ambulance at his fiancée's request but, by the time she got to the hospital, she was dead.

An unexpected blood clot in her lungs had taken her life.

Curt slipped on his wedding ring the day of the funeral, which took place on Christmas Eve four years ago, and struggled for years to move forward.

However, this spring, Curt has finally decided how to move on. And he's done it in the most beautiful way possible.

With no family to pass his farm onto, Curt revealed that he was donating the 400 acres to 4-H, the charity that Andrea had tirelessly spent years working for. He also created a college scholarship in Ruesch’s name for graduating 4-H high school seniors.

Quoting one of her favourite sayings, he said: "If it's not illegal or immoral, we'll do it for the kids."

Under the agreement with 4-H, Curt will continue to farm until he retires, when he'll complete his donation and fulfil his promise to Ruesch.

He said: "I spoiled her, that's what she always told me. This is all for her."

Sometimes love really can work miracles, can't it?
