Little Samara Muir was queuing for a Disney-themed event with her mother Rachel when the attack happened.
And, perhaps most shockingly of all, the abuse came from another mother at the same event.
The woman, who was at queuing for the shopping centre event with her own daughters, turned around and told Samara she did not understand why she was “dressed up for because Queen Elsa isn’t black”.
When Rachel asked what she meant by her comment, one of the woman’s daughters “screwed up her face, pointed at Samara and said ‘you’re black and black is ugly’”.
Sharing a photograph of beautiful Samara on Facebook, Rachel wrote sadly: “Racism is alive and well in the next generation.”
As a result, Rachel explained: “She is back to her proud, beautiful Aboriginal self.”
Absolutely amazing - we’re so happy to hear that Samara’s faith in humankind has been restored.
